The Process

Behind the Paper and Ink

Every piece Oscar sells is printed the same careful way, whether it's one print or a hundred. Here's exactly what that means.

1

Drawn by hand first

Every piece starts on paper, in pencil, before it's anything else. No AI, no shortcuts — just Oscar, a sketchbook, and the hours before the world wakes up.

2

Scanned & colour-matched

Once the ink is dry, each piece is scanned at high resolution and colour-matched by eye against the original — not just run through a machine and hoped for the best.

3

8–12 channel pigment ink

Printed using archival pigment inks sprayed through microscopic print heads across 8 to 12 individual colour channels — a far wider, more accurate range than standard 4-colour printing.

4

100% cotton rag, acid-free

Every print lands on 310gsm cotton rag — acid-free, lignin-free, and built for prints meant to last, not just look good on day one.

5

Fade-resistant 100+ years

Pigment ink on archival cotton rag is rated to outlast its owner — over 100 years indoors without noticeable fading under normal light.
