The Cat Burglar's Sneakers

One day a boy purchased beautiful sneakers using the last remaining savings of his money jar.

What the boy nor anyone else knew is that these were incredible shoes that should have remained secret.

You see, the shoes maker accidently affixed the sole intended for a prodigious and mysterious cat burglar. Each night this kindhearted and fleet-footed thief located items stolen by others and returned them to the innocent.

Of course the shoe sole was not ordinary but made from a particularly special swordfish skin.

Why, you wonder?

I suppose you are unaware — most are — but grass despises swordfish (have you ever seen a swordfish laying on grass?). You see, grass repels swordfish in the same way water pushes bubbles up.

So you can imagine the boy’s surprise when he donned the beautiful sneakers and discovered he could now run as if leaping on a trampoline.

But wisely the boy knew his shoes must remain secret, after all, who on earth can run faster than a leopard?

So began his mysterious life?
