R Cinquantotto

Oscar occasionally takes on illustration commissions for brands he admires, working the same way he does for every piece — pencil first, then ink, entirely by hand. This one was created for Rocket Espresso Milano: a drawing of their R58 machine, captured mid-pour with coffee dropping into the cup below the group head. “Cinquantotto” is Italian for fifty-eight — the R58, spelled out.

Unlike the storybook prints in Oscar’s main catalog, this piece carries no invented tale — it’s a straightforward commissioned illustration, offered here as an open edition print in the same sizes and materials as the rest of his work.
